Every feature of this Sgian Dubh is crafted to the
highest standard. The stone for example is Gold foil
backed, multi facet cut and is bezelled not claw set.
The Metalwork is traditional full 4 piece and is 100%
Pewter plated in Palladium.
Choose from over 200 Clan Crests, all of which are
the latest representations approved by the Standing
Council of Scottish Chiefs, or generic (Lion, Thistle,
St. Andrews, Piper).

The first recorded use of this type of utility knife
was in the Crimean War and there is also recorded use
in the Boer War.
A number of variations were seen during the First World
War but use died out thereafter.
Because of the cost and complexity of manufacture it
was always a gentleman's accessory and we have been unable
to trace any variants used by the ranks, however, our
research continues.
The original had a corkscrew and screwdriver both of
which are faithfully reproduced here and we have added
a bottle opener as an added feature for modern use.

Our range of finest quality Dirks are handmade in Scotland
using traditional techniques using only the finest quality
materials.
The staghorn used is collected locally in the heart of
the Scottish highlands during the early summer when the
stags naturally cast their antlers.
The stainless steel blade is notched and has a blood
line (fuller), with the additional option of Celtic knotwork
etching.
Dirks are co-ordinated with Day Sgian Dubhs, made from
the exact same materials.
Personalisation with clan crest or generic badges is
optional - subject to special order.
All our Dirks are supplied with a Celtic leather sheath.
